Quickstart
An Ascnt position is a Uniswap v4 position — pick a pool, set a range, deposit.
Providing liquidity to an Ascnt pool works like any Uniswap v4 position: choose a pool, pick a price range, deposit. The difference is in how swaps are priced — the pool prices each swap dynamically and is designed to keep arbitrage value in the pool as fees.
Steps
Connect your wallet
Go to app.ascnt.fi and connect a wallet. Browsing needs no sign-in; before your first transaction you accept the Terms and confirm you are not in a restricted jurisdiction. Pools live on Ethereum mainnet, and the app only asks you to switch network when you send a transaction.
Choose a pool
The app's homepage lists every live Ascnt pool by market — crypto, stablecoins, commodities, equities — with volume, fees and pool APR over the last 24 hours or 7 days. Pick a pair you already understand: the same volatility and flow apply; only the fee logic differs. The Ascnt pill on a pool opens the hook details, including the pool's withdrawal lock.
Set your range
Choose the price range your liquidity is active in. A tighter range concentrates your liquidity, so it takes a larger share of the pool's fees while the price stays inside it, but it goes out of range sooner and its value moves more with price. A wider range stays active across a larger move with a smaller share. A range entirely above or below the current price starts with one token.
Deposit
Enter the amounts and review. The review lists every wallet step as a row — switch network, approve a token, sign, confirm — and one click walks through them in order. Defaults are 0.5% slippage and a 30-minute deadline, both adjustable from the settings cog. You receive a Uniswap v4 position NFT.
What happens after you deposit
- Every swap against the pool is priced for the risk it imposes — swaps that unbalance the pool pay a higher fee, swaps that restore it pay less, and the base fee eases when the pool is busy to keep it competitive.
- A block-lock stops JIT extraction, and the pricing is designed to keep arbitrage value in the pool rather than lose it to bots.
- Withdrawing: a freshly added position can't be removed for a short lock window — two blocks, about 24 seconds, on every current pool — and a top-up restarts it. The window is fixed per pool and shown in the hook details before you deposit; accrued fees can be collected while it runs. See Risks.
Permissionless by default
Ascnt pools are standard Uniswap v4 pools, so your position is fully on-chain and permissionless: you can always manage or withdraw it directly through the Uniswap interface or any v4-compatible tool, with no dependency on the Ascnt app. The only protocol-level constraint is the JIT block-lock above.
